The Situation

Newton Running implemented Criteek video review technology to lower the bounce rate via the implementation of User Generated Video Reviews on some of their key shoes pages.

The Criteek Video Review Platform Approach

By implementing the simple Criteek Widget directly on the shopping product pages and delivering relevant and honest reviews right at the point of purchase the Bounce Rate for the mens Fate trainer dropped by 12%.

The reason for this change was due to users being immediately attracted to the authentic video from real users and no longer needing to leave the site to find the information elsewhere.

Shoppers were able to use the information Newton had given, and line that up with what real people were saying about the product, as well as seeing the product up close in the video as it would appear when they received it.

The Results

Reviews on the Fate were mostly positive.  Some runners commented that the lugs providing the POP2 technology take some getting used to, as well as a few mentions of the sizing running slightly large.

Reviewers tended to be from a running/triathlon background, as Newton shoes tend to be geared towards a more experienced runner.  However, the range in abilities was varied, covering club runners, all the way up to ironman finishers.  There was a slight dominance from the male reviewers (7:3 female).
